Bentham Science is pleased to announce a partnership with the German consortium ‘Specialized Information Services for Science’ Pharmacy (Fachinformationsdienst Pharmazie FID PubPharm) for a ‘Read and Publish’ Agreement. The consortium comprises of 23 leading German universities. The partnership allows the library patrons from the universities who partake in FID Pharmacy, to access licensed Bentham Science journals and in parallel to give the researchers from the universities an opportunity to publish their research under an Open Access license at discounted rates.
The ‘Specialized Information Services for Science’ (Fachinformationsdienst FID) is a funding program for scientific libraries of the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG), which aims to strengthen and improve information infrastructures for research. It forms the further development of the special collection areas at academic libraries in Germany that have been funded since 1949. Some of the reputable universities in FID Pharmacy consortium include Freie Universität Berlin, Ludwig Maximilians Universität München, Friedrich Schiller Universität Jena and others.
