Abstract

PREREQUISITE DEFINITIONS

Negative Index Metamaterials The property of a negative refractive index in metamaterials refers to the phenomenon where light bends in the opposite direction of what is expected when it enters the material. This means that the refractive index of the metamaterial is negative, which is in contrast to the positive refractive index typically observed in natural materials like air, water, or glass.
