Associate Professor Tanya Topouzova-Hristova studied cell and developmental biology at Sofia University “St Kliment Ohridski” (Bulgaria). She completed her Ph. D. thesis on effect of volatile anesthetics on lung cells (2008) at the same University. She is currently working at the department of Cytology, Histology and Embryology, Faculty of Biology, Sofia University and her scientific interests are focused on bacterial-host cell interactions; biological activities of plant secondary metabolites; and assessment of new nano-particles for delivery of bio-molecules in animal cells.

Dr. Inna P. Solyanikova is a Director of Regional microbiological centre of Belgorod State University, and also the leading researcher in the laboratory of microbial enzymology at the Institute of biochemistry and physiology of microorganisms, Federal Research Center. “Pushchino Scientific Center for Biological Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences”. Since 1994 - PhD, since 2008 – Doctor of Sciences. She has published 56 articles, 3 patents and 76 abstracts and proceedings. The main theme of her work is the degradation of persistent organic pollutants by microorganisms. The behavior of soil actinobacteria under stressful conditions and transitions of non-spore-forming bacteria between vegetative growth and dormancy are currently of research interest
