Dr. Jyotsana R. Madan is presently serving as a Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics at mt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, India. She has a rich experience of over 22 years comprising both teaching and research. Her main research interests focus on solubility enhancement of poorly water-soluble drugs using solid dispersions, molecular inclusion complexes, co-crystals and salt-forming techniques. She is also actively working in the area of diverse nanostructured drug delivery systems viz., polymeric micelles, liposomes proniosomes and mesoporous silica nanoparticles. CLAUDIU T. SUPURAN is professor of medicinal chemistry at the Neurofarba Department, Section of Pharmaceutical and Nutriceutical Sciences, University of Florence, Italy. His main research interest is on enzyme inhibitors, and especially carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, of which he discovered several new classes in the last years.
