She is also engaged in the development of biomaterials, especially the chemically modified carbohydrates and their application in drug delivery systems for confined targets. She is also reviewing research articles as well as book chapters. She has authored the reference book ‘Comprehensive Chemistry and Biomedical Applications of Chitosan and Chemically Engineered Chitosans’. She has contributed her publications in different journals, having citations around 1, 358.

Dr. Jyotsana R. Madan is presently serving as a Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics at mt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, India. She has a rich experience of over 22 years comprising both teaching and research. Her main research interests focus on solubility enhancement of poorly water-soluble drugs using solid dispersions, molecular inclusion complexes, co-crystals and salt-forming techniques. She is also actively working in the area of diverse nanostructured drug delivery systems viz., polymeric micelles, liposomes proniosomes and mesoporous silica nanoparticles. She has authored over 35 publications in various peer reviewed journals.
