Aims & Scope:
Current Evolution and Intelligent Design is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to exploring the dynamic interplay between evolutionary processes, intelligent systems, and design principles across biological, computational, and engineering dimensions. The journal serves as a platform for cutting-edge research on evolutionary mechanisms, molecular biology, complexity in biological systems, artificial intelligence, evolutionary algorithms and bio-inspired design.
The journal welcomes original research articles, reviews/mini-reviews, short communications and guest edited thematic issues in the areas including, but not limited to:
- Artificial life and synthetic genomes
- Cognitive science and origin of intelligence
- Comparative genomics and transcriptomics
- Complex adaptive systems in biology
- Complex cellular systems and molecular evolution
- Design inference methods
- Education and public policy aspects
- Emergence and self-organization
- Epistemological and metaphysical issues
- Evolution of DNA, RNA, and proteins
- Evolutionary developmental biology (Evo-Devo)
- Fossil interpretation and controversies
- Human-directed evolution
- Information theory and mathematical models
- Intelligent design in biotechnology
- Irreducible and specified complexity
- Natural selection, mutation, genetic drift, gene flow
- Philosophy of intelligent design
- Population genetics and phylogenetics
- Scientific limits and metaphysics in biology
- Speciation and adaptation
- Systems-level regulation and network biology
- Theological, ethical, and cultural implications
- Transitional fossils and evolutionary timelines
Current Evolution and Intelligent Design is an international, peer-reviewed journal on all aspects of evolution and intelligent design, published continuously (print & online) by Bentham Science Publishers.
