The section "Social Work" of Current Social Sciences aims to advance knowledge of this field and improve practice in social work through publishing systematic reviews, theoretical articles and empirical studies.

Shan Jiang, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology, Zhejiang
University. His research interests focus on the social determinants of psychosocial
development among children and adolescents. His works have appeared in prestigious
academic journals, such as Health & Social Care in the Community, Journal of
Interpersonal Violence, Journal of Adolescence, and Journal of Affective Disorders.

José Ángel Martínez López, completed PhD in Sociology by University of Murcia (2017). He
studied a Social Work Degree (2001), Sociology Degree (2010) and Political Science and
Public Administration (2012). He did Masters in Social Problems Analysis by UNED (2012).
Since 2013, he works as Part Time Professor at the University of Murcia and has
collaborated in national research projects. He is Vice Dean at Social Work Faculty at
the University of Murcia. Moreover, since April 2021, he has been serving as University
Social Services Office Director. His research interest is Labor Market, Social Policy,
Welfare State, Long Term Care, Dependency and Social Inequality, Burnout and COVID-19,
Pharmaceutical poverty.
