Professor Dr. Jin Huang is affiliated with the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Southwest University, China. He received his Ph.D. from Wuhan University and completed Postdoctoral Research from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has worked in Wuhan University of Technology from 2005 to 2015, and carried out research in Grenoble Institute of Technology in this period. His research interests focus on Soft Matter and Nanocomposites. Until now, he has authored and co-authored more than 140 peer-reviewed journal publications, 1 monograph, 7 book chapters, over 40 granted China patents and many conference papers and presentations.
Dr. Krishnakumar Balu, received his Ph.D., in Chemistry from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, India. Subsequently, he joined as a postdoctoral fellow, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST)-Taipei, Taiwan. After completing his term, he worked as postdoctoral fellow in University of Coimbra- Coimbra, Portugal; Yonsei University-Seoul, South Korea and Yeungnam University- Geongsan, South Korea. He is currently working in the University of Seville, Spain. His research interests are development of solar active photocatalysts for environmental remediation, investigation of organic photochemical reaction and mechanisms, catalysis based synthesis, fabrication of nano-materials and semiconductor mediated synthesis of novel heterocyclic compounds of biological importance.
Dr. Pavlo Krot since 2019 is an Assistant Professor at the Wroclaw University of Technology, Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology, Digital Mining Center (DMC). He obtained MSc (1989) and PhD (1996) degrees from the Dnipropetrovsk National University (Ukraine). He worked in 2001-2018 as a Senior Researcher at the Department of Steel Rolling Machines and Technologies, Iron and Steel Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Dnipro). He has over 100 scientific publications and 9 patents along with 20 years of industrial experience in the dynamics, condition monitoring and diagnostics, active vibration damping, process optimization and control, raw materials processing machines and steel rolling mills. Several systems have been commissioned in the industry.
Van-Tu Nguyen is currently a Research Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Pusan National University (PNU), Korea. He received the MS. & PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from PNU, and the BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Hanoi National University, in Vietnam. He has been working in the field of computational fluid mechanics (CFM) applications to problems in Fluid Mechanics and Industrial/ Engineering Systems. He has published 65+ Papers in international journals and conferences, and is PI/key researcher of many projects granted by NRF and others.
Dr. Umberto Prisco is a Professor of Material Science and Engineering at the University of Napoli Federico II. Dr. Prisco graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1999. In 2003, he received his Ph.D. from the Department of Materials and Production Engineering at the University of Napoli Federico II. In 2003, Prisco was a research fellow at the Nanoscale Physics Research Laboratory, School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, where he was also assistant professor of the summer courses in experimental physics. He moved to the University of Napoli in 2005. His research interests and publications are in the area of the material science and engineering of structural materials, particularly metals and metal alloys; the structure and constitution of these materials, and their properties; the processing and manufacturing of structural materials and components made of them; the development of physical models to simulate the effect of manufacturing processes on the structure and resultant properties of these materials; the validation of the proposed models through targeted experimentation based on novel techniques.
Wanqing Shen received his doctoral degree in 2011 from University of Lille in France. He is currently associate professor at this university. He has developed a series of theoretical and numerical studies in mechanics of heterogeneous materials to take into account the effects of material microstructure on its macroscopic nonlinear behaviour, also the thermo-hydromechanical and chemical coupling with multi-scale approaches. They have been widely applied to various engineering fields such as petroleum industry, geological disposal of nuclear waste. He is the author and co-author of 64 papers in peer-reviewed SCI journal papers. He obtained the Prize of Excellent Scientific Research and Supervision (Prime d'Encadrement Doctoral et de Recherche) in 2017 and 2021, which is selected by the National Council of Universities (CNU) of France.
Dr. Akrajas Ali Umar received his PhD in Physics from the National University of Malaysia in 2004 in organic thin film for optical sensing application. He is currently Professor at the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics (IMEN), the National University of Malaysia. His research interests are mainly in the field of Nanophysics and Nanomaterial Chemistry with the emphasis on energy conversion application, particularly to investigate the role of atomic composition, surface structure and shape of nanostructures in photoactivity and photoelectrical properties. He was appointed as a World Class Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Halu Oleo-Indonesia in 2018 and 2021, and a visiting scientist in the School of Information Science and Technology, Fudan University, Shanghai, China from 2018 to 2019. He has published more than 200 papers.
Professor Fang Yang works for the School of Biological Sciences and Medical Engineering in Southeast University, China. Her major research interests include fabrication of novel microbubbles for multimodality biomedical imaging, ultrasound imaging guided drug delivery, novel ultrasound sensitive micro-, and nano-delivery systems. Until now, she has published more than 70 articles in SCI magazines including Adv.Mater., ACS Nano, Adv. Funct. Mater., Theranostics, Small, Biomaterial, J. Control. Release, etc. One chapter for an English academic book and two chapters for a Chinese book. More than ten national invention patents have been applied and three have been authorized. As a participant, she has won several prizes and awards.
Professor Zhang's expertise is in evaluation on behavior of bridge structures and materials subjected to extreme fire hazards. His research accomplishments, in the field of bridge fire safety and material at elevated temperatures, has great contributions and major impacts to improve development of disaster-prevention and mitigation in transport infrastructures. Prof. Zhang, along with his students and collaborators, has led to over 130 peer-reviewed papers in journals and conferences. He has been "elected" as "Fellow" of two academies/associations.
Rongsheng Chen received B.S. in Chemistry from Wuhan University in 1998 and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Wuhan University in 2005. He was a Research Associate at the City University of Hong Kong in 2006 and an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Chemistry at Columbia University in 2014. He is currently a full professor in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Wuhan University of Science and Technology. He is the author of more than 70 research articles. His research interest involves electrochemical sensors, electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, and carbon nanomaterials.
Prof. Wencheng Guo is an associate professor at the School of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China). Transient process and control of hydropower system has been Prof. Guo's major research interest since 2011. Goals of his research are the improvement of energy efficiency, stability and controllability of hydropower system. Prof. Guo's interests also include the fluid mechanics and dynamics, power system stability and load frequency control, fluid transients & hydraulic machinery and system, hydraulic turbine regulation, transient process for hydraulic, mechanical and power coupling system, model experiment of hydropower station transient processes.
Dr. Jin received his doctoral degree in Wood Chemistry from Nanjing Forestry University in 1998. He is the Vice Chairman of the Cellulose and Renewable Materials Division of the Chinese Chemical Society, Executive Director of China Forest Chemistry and Industry Society. His current research interests are pulp and paper engineering, lignocellulosic chemistry, biochemicals and biomaterials. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles in academic journals, and received several scientific and teaching achievement awards in China.
Hanieh Kargarzadeh is an Adjunct Professor in the Polymer Division, Center of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She received her MSc in organic chemistry from Islamic Azad University of Gachsaran, Iran, in 2007 and completed her PhD from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, in 2013. Dr. Kargarzadeh has published a number of papers in highly reputed international journals and has been involved in a number of books as the author and editor. Her research interest focuses on nanocomposites, cellulose and lignin nanomaterials, and polymer blending.
Dr. Yiwen Li is currently a Professor at College of Polymer Science and Engineering, State Key Laboratory of Polymer Materials Engineering, Sichuan University. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from University of Science and Technology of China (2008) and Ph.D. in Polymer Science from the University of Akron (2013). Dr. Li has published more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts with a total citation of more than 1500. His current research interests include the development of design, synthesis and nano-fabrication of functional soft matters.
Jinjin Li received the BS degree from University of Science and Technology of China and the PhD degree from Tsinghua University. He is currently an associate professor at Tsinghua University, China. His major research area includes superlubricity, surface and interface science, and solid-liquid nanogenerator. He has published more than 80 papers on international journals, such as Matter, ACS Nano, and Nano energy, and applied for 20 invention patents. He is the editor of Friction, Lubricants, and Tribology and Lubricants. He has been awarded the China youth talents lifting project, Hiwin award for outstanding doctoral dissertation, first prize for outstanding doctoral dissertation, and outstanding postdoctoral position in Tsinghua University.
Professor Triantafyllos K. Makarios is Ph.D. Civil Engineer with specialization in the Structural Analysis, Dynamics of Structures, Earthquake Engineering, Seismic Isolation, Structures with Negative Stiffness and Identification of Dynamic Characteristics of Structures. He is working as a Research and Teaching Staff of the School of Civil Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He was a member of the scientific team in 17 research programs and he has published 50 journal papers, 6 chapters of international books and 80 conference papers.
Professor Haining Na received his PhD in 2009 from Tianjin University. He was a postdoctoral fellow for two years at the University of Akron. He joined Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering in 2012, where he was promoted to a full professor in 2019. His research interests are mainly focused on the conversion and application of biomass, particularly including hydrolysis of cellulose to sugar, modification of cellulose by carbonation, and biomass composites. Prof. Haining Na is the author or co-author of more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 50 patents.
Dr. Chetan Nikhare is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. He earned a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Nagpur University, India in 2003, M.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India in 2006, and the Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Deakin University, Australia in 2010. Dr. Nikhare joined the Penn State Behrend faculty in August 2012. Prior to joining the faculty, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of New Hampshire. To date, he has performed different aspects of numerical and analytical modeling for material undergoing mechanical processes. He learned constitutive modeling of mild steel and advanced high strength steels and microstructural modeling during his graduate and post-graduate studies. His research interest is, but not limited to, experiments and numerical simulation of sheet metal and bulk forming in various deformation mode, fatigue and fracture, hydroforming and analytical modeling of material mechanics and processes.
Baijie Qiao (Member, IEEE) received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, in 2010, 2012, and 2017, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Mechanical Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University. His research interests include inverse problems in engineering, blade health monitoring, force identification, and mechanical fault diagnosis. He has authored or coauthored more than 50 SCI publications.
Paulo Santos [ORCID 0000-0002-0134-6762] is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. He is an integrated member of ISISE research centre. The main actual scientific research fields are Thermal Behaviour, Energy Efficiency in Buildings and Sustainable Construction. He is the author of around 160 scientific publications. He has around 2,100 citations and 63,000 reads on Research Gate (Berlin), with an h-index of 23. He remained the supervisor and co-supervisor of 50 masters' and 3 doctoral theses. He participated in around 12 funded European and Portuguese research projects. Nowadays, he is the Principal Investigator of the Tyre4BuildIns research project. He has been a member of the scientific committee and/or organizer of several national and international scientific conferences. He reviewed, by request of the editors, as a member of the journal scientific committee, 98 articles submitted to international journals (see Publons website). He is a member of iiSBE – "International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment" since 2011 and TC14 – "Sustainability & Eco-efficiency of Steel Construction" of the "European Convention for Constructional Steelwork" – ECCS since 2008.
Huafeng Tian, graduated from Wuhan University. Dr. Tian is mainly engaged in the processing of natural polymer biodegradable materials, such as soy protein, starch, etc., and the research of molecular design, performance control of eco-friendly polymer based nanofibers as air filter materials, food packaging, etc. In the past 5 years, he has published more than 50 SCI papers. He has co-authored 8 monographs in both Chinese and English books.
Dr. Chuanyi Wang is a distinguished professor at Shaanxi University of Science & Technology, China. Dr.Wang’s research interest covers catalysis and photo-/electro-catalysis at nanostructured materials including material design, synthesis, functionality evaluation and in situ surface studies with focus on applications in energy conversion and environmental remediation. He also serves as an associate editor or an editorial board member for a number of international journals. Dr. Yuan Yao received his PhD in polymer chemistry and physics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2010 and worked in alma mater as an assistant professor. He then joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and worked as a visiting scholar for a year. In 2016, he joined the East China University of Science and Technology and became an associate professor in 2017. His research interest is in nanomaterials, photo-responsive polymers and self-assembly, and in specific areas of azopolymers, non-covalent polymer hydrogels, and chiral supramolecular self-assembly.
Dr. Shaofeng Zhou completed his doctorate degree from Wuhan University of Technology and now is an associate professor in the North University of China.. He has published more than 10 patent applications and 30 plus papers with a total citation of over 400. His h-index is 12. His current research is focused on the development of high-performance fiber reinforced polymer composites, polymer-based friction composites, and electrochemical sensing nanocomposites.
Dr. Yan Zhuge is a Professor in Structural Engineering at UniSA STEM, University of South Australia, Australia. Dr. Yan has lectured in several Australian universities for more than 25 years. She has a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Structural Engineering from Beijing, China, a PhD in Structural Engineering from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. Prof Zhuge's main research interests include green concrete materials, composite materials and structures. She has published more than 200 SCI technical papers in the referred international journals and conferences and has been invited as a keynote speaker at several international conferences. Dr. Yan has won several Australian government awards and fellowships and attracted funding from Australian Research council and industry. She was the winner of the 2018 South Australia Winnovation award in the Engineering category. She is the current College of Experts of Australian Research Council (ARC).
Dr Rajan Choudhary currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. He has experience of more than 14-years in the industry, research, and teaching. He earned his degree of Doctor of Philosophy from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. His main areas of research include characterisation of pavement materials; utilization of industrial waste and alternate materials for sustainable pavement structures; analysis and design of road pavements etc. He is currently a reviewer for over 20 prestigious international journals He has more than 100 publications to his credit presented and published in various reputed national and international journals and conferences.
Dr. Mohd Ifwat Mohd Ghazali completed his graduation in Physics from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. Further he obtained Master's and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Michigan State University, USA. Currently, he is serving in the University Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) as a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Science and Technology under the Applied Physics program. He is also leading research at SMART Research Group. His current research is on additive manufacturing (3D printing) technology, material science, sensors, medical devices and microwave and millimeter-wave systems.
Dr S. Vimal is working in the Department of Information Technology, National Engineering College, Kovilpatti, Tamilnadu, India. He has around thirteen years of teaching experience, he is an EMC certified Data Science Associate. He has acted as session chairs, organizing committee member, advisory committee and outreach committee member in various international conferences in IEEE and other prestigious conferences. Dr. Yuhazri M.Y. has served more than 15 years in academic and industry. He received his PhD from National Defence University of Malaysia in Mechanical Engineering specialized in ballistic & composites. He is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Professional Engineer (PE/Ir.) from Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE/EC) United Kingdom and Board Engineers Malaysia (BEM), respectively. He has published more than 171 technical journals and over 100 proceedings and has received over 100 awards in both academic and research/innovation and has been awarded 2015 Outstanding Academic Excellence from UTeM. He received 53 research grants from government and industries amounting to over MYR 3.3 million and holds 11 Intellectual Property. Currently, he is serving as a deputy dean of research and industrial link at the faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and Technology.
Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in underwater acoustic engineering from Naval University of Engineering, Wuhan, China, in 2014. Since 2020, he has been with the Northwest Normal University, China. He is the author and co-author of about 60 peer-reviewed publications in the area of ocean engineering. His interests are underwater signal processing and ocean engineering. Dr. Zhang was the Session Chair of many International Conferences such as ICCC, ICCT, ICCCS and so on. He is the Youth Editorial Member and Guest Associate Editor for Journal of Electronics & Information Technology; and Frontiers in Marine Science, respectively. He is the Lead Guest Editor for International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, Frontiers in Marine Science and Electronics Letters, and is also the Guest Editor for Wireless Communications; Mobile Computing and MDPI Sensors.
