Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Internet of Things for Sustainable Industry and Infrastructure Development

Today, waste reduction strategies and efficient production have become essential for companies striving to achieve sustainability and remain competitive globally. In this project, the BDA (Big Data Analytics) comes up with the suggestion that it is a great technique since it gives a complicated way to find, chase, and fix problems in lines. This study seeks to investigate in what ways BDA could be applied to production systems concerning the utilization of vast quantities of operational data to comb through patterns, trends, and oddities that are usually difficult to observe. The present study will therefore be an eye-opener with the support that BDA offers to fully understand the production processes through the use of high-level analytical methodologies such as predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms, which in turn ensure that smart interventions toward minimizing wastages are made. The findings support the hypothesis that BDA has the ability to change things by making decisions better, allocating resources more efficiently, and encouraging a mindset of always getting better. The study shows the actual benefits of using data to control waste, such as lower costs, enhanced operational efficiency, and a minor impact on the environment. This study contributes to the knowledge of environmentally friendly manufacturing methods and highlights the importance of BDA in advancing more ecofriendly and effective production processes.

This chapter aims to address the first phase in developing intelligent, datadriven tools for natural disaster prediction in smart city infrastructure. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models within smart city infrastructure stands as a pivotal advancement, offering an array of benefits in disaster prediction and management. Techniques such as neural networks, decision trees, random forests, and support vector machines have proven instrumental in this regard. This chapter is of high relevance to the field currently due to the increasing sophistication and range of AI technologies, as well as the increasing capacity for realtime data collection facilitated by smart city technology. The focus on combining AI approaches with the unique challenges and opportunities presented by smart city infrastructure makes this a timely and essential project for the field and an excellent driver for knowledge exchange with both the academic community and industry in both AI and smart city development. Despite facing obstacles, such as legal and social concerns, the ongoing progress and widespread acceptance of AI-based solutions offer significant potential for strengthening disaster preparedness and improving the overall quality of life in cities.

Disasters, which occur in periodic intervals, are natural phenomena such as floods, landslides, etc. Nowadays, they are more frequent due to the effects of global warming. These natural phenomena possess complex dynamics, making their precise prediction a difficult task. The intention of smart cities is to use the advanced technologies for flexible and sustainable solutions to such threats. In this paper, we present a new and efficient approach for extending natural thread prediction using mathematical fractal analysis to identify self-similar, multi-scale information that can be incorporated into machine learning prediction models for natural disasters. In addition, we used fractal generation techniques to create virtual replicas of the metropolitan infrastructure in order to model reactions to extreme event forecasts. Our multimodal method, at the nexus of urban modeling, machine learning, and fractal mathematics, offers a groundbreaking way to improve climate preparedness for smart cities. Adaptive resilience planning and early warning systems can benefit from the application of data-driven infrastructure response techniques and catastrophe prediction methodology.

In many major cities across the world, traffic congestion is a huge issue that makes commuting a misery. You can manage traffic at several significant crossroads by incorporating either an autonomous traffic signal controller or a traffic police unit. Traditional traffic signal systems, however, are not adaptable to varying traffic intensities, as they are predicated on the idea of predetermined hours allotted on each side of the intersection. Based on the number of cars parked on the same street, including VIP vehicles and ambulances, the priority of the traffic light may need to be adjusted. We suggest creating an adaptive-based traffic signal system and designing it from the ground up. When there is traffic at a junction, the traffic light automatically changes. With the aid of an Arduino and an IR sensor, a prototype model was created. You can program Arduino as you like. The Arduino is a straightforward device that measures traffic on a certain route using an Infrared sensor and an economic sensor. The fact that IR sensors only function in natural light might be a drawback. Traffic signals won’t work correctly as a result. With the proper sensor, it may one day be enhanced. Each roadway has IR sensors that are carefully positioned to assess traffic density. These sensors continuously detect the traffic on that particular road. An Arduino is linked to all of these sensors. The controller sees traffic and manages the traffic system using these sensors. The volume of traffic that is on the route determines how the traffic signal operates.

AI can play a vital role in cyberbullying prevention by supporting the identification, monitoring, and response to instances of online harassment. The objective of this chapter is to automate the spotting of cyberbullying on social networks. The massive quantity of facts available makes individualistic monitoring for cyber harassment unfeasible. Automated flagging of signs of cyberharassment could significantly reduce response times, making social networks a safer place for sharing ideas, views, opinions, and interaction for people from all backgrounds. This report examines the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in preventing and mitigating cyberbullying, exploring the potential of cutting-edge technologies to create safer online spaces through Natural Language Processing (NLP), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), and other methodologies.

Users find it annoying, but individuals who fall victim to frauds and other attacks also suffer harm as a result. Spam emails are now manufactured, created, or written in such a unique way that anti-spam algorithms find it hard to recognise them. Email spamming strategies are becoming increasingly complex, shifting away from traditional and direct spamming approaches toward a more scalable, covert, and indirect method of using botnets to disseminate email spam. This chapter examines the persistent problem of spam email, its adverse effects, and practical methods for identifying and reducing it. It examines the origins and evolution of spam email, highlighting its detrimental effects on individuals, organizations, and society. It examines various detection techniques, including rule-based methods and machine learning algorithms. The chapter also examines mitigation techniques and countermeasures, including spam filters and blacklisting.
