Molecular approach has been, for decades, the classical way for studying
biological problems. It implies that the essential biological properties can be reduced to
the study of two classes of biomolecules, namely nucleic acids and proteins. The
interest and the limits of the so-called molecular biology are discussed in this Chapter.
