Aging of the population has been one of the many successes of mankind; however, it
is also one of the biggest growing challenges, in addition to its social, economic and political
consequences, World Health Organization (WHO), 2005 [1]. Furthermore, the aging of the
population increased since several decades in each country around the world. That’s why it
becomes a public health care. From a public health stand-point, it is very important to identify
and develop preventive strategies that may attenuate the gradual decline in functional ability
associated with the aging process. The elderly, that were more physically active revealed a
positive attitude towards life, were healthier and demonstrated a better capacity to face stress
and tension [2]. Regular participation in physical activity, easily increased the functional status
and maintained an adequate level of physical and cognitive functions [3].
