Children with cancer have a number of pre- and perioperative risk modifiers when they undergo surgical procedures. These can be a direct result of their pathology or treatment and can persist for years after the completion of therapy. In this chapter, we explore the various sequelae of the most common pediatric malignancies and the anesthetic considerations required to deliver optimum care to this vulnerable population.
