NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) is emerging as an important
cause of chronic liver disease worldwide. It ranges from end-stage liver disease to fatty
infiltration. PCOS (Polycystic ovarian syndrome) is one of the most prevalent
endocrine abnormalities seen in reproductive-age women, which causes significant
morbidity. This article aims to provide the readers with a comprehensive overview of
the two disease conditions and insights into the pathophysiology of NAFLD in PCOS
with implications for therapeutic research and drug targets.
