Abstract

Any substance that is not in use or is unwanted is called a “waste”. Waste management is the proper control of waste in order to protect it from environmental hazards. Industrial waste, commercial waste, domestic waste, agricultural waste, and electronic waste are a few types of waste that can be categorized. Environmental problems such as water pollution, air pollution, and soil pollution are a few different problems that can occur due to the improper management of waste. Landfill incineration, waste compaction, composting, vermicomposting, recycling, plasma gasification, and conversion of waste into energy are some innovative methods of waste management that are discussed in this work.
