Cervical infections caused by HPV appear at any age as a benign disorder
unless they persist. Different studies on transmission of HPV showed that the rates of
transmission between heterosexual couples widely vary dependent on some factors
such as intervals between testing points, rates of concordance or discordance at
baseline, and difficulty in defining established infections versus contamination. This
chapter describes the natural history of (HPV) infection in different stages of cancers in
women and men.
