Introduction
Inflammation is a biological defence mechanism caused by several pro-inflammatory mediators that are produced by the immune system. Overproduction of these mediators produces chronic inflammation and may also be a reason for the various chronic disorders. For the inhibition of the inflammatory process, the available conventional treatment is costly and produces several side effects. Natural products are used extensively to overcome these types of problems. Phenolic compounds are very potent in inhibiting the inflammatory processes and the actions of pro-inflammatory mediators. Application of AI, ML, DML, LLM, in silico, simulation, and computational studies will also be considered based on the quality of the work. This special issue will focus on the role of phenolic compounds, as well as their combination with nanomedicines, for a synergetic effect in inflammatory and arthritic disorders, to provide current and future aspects.
