Introduction

Phosphine compounds have emerged as versatile agents in medicinal chemistry, offering unique structural and electronic properties that enable diverse biological applications. This thematic issue explores the expanding role of phosphines in drug design, therapeutic delivery, and bioinorganic mechanisms. From their use as ligands in metal-based drugs to their potential in anticancer, antimicrobial, and antioxidant therapies, phosphine derivatives are gaining attention for their tunable reactivity and biocompatibility.
