Following an appointment as a faculty member at Washington University School of Medicine, he established novel directions in the development of contrast agents focusing on the near-infrared and shortwave infrared probes for in vivo studies. He also initiated an application of hyperspectral imaging for medical diagnostics. His work is documented in more than 60 peer-review papers, several book chapters, an edited book, and patents in this field.

He is one of the most cited scientists in chemistry and engineering field (17000 citations, over 1500 citations in handbooks, encyclopedias, books and thesis, h-index of 67).

In addition to his current position as the Director of the State Key Laboratory of Chemo/Biosensing and Chemometrics and Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and Biology at Hunan University, he is also a University Distinguished Professor and a V.T. and Louis Jackson Professor at the University of Florida. Prof. Tan’s research is in general area of Bioanalytical Chemistry, Chemical Biology and Molecular Medicine.

Prof. Mauro Tomassetti, did Masters in Chemistry (1969) and in Pharmacy (1977). He is a full professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' since 2003. His research interests are in the development of electrochemical sensors, biosensors and immunosensors working both in aqueous and organic solvents and in their application to environmental, biopharmaceutical and food analysis. He has also interest in thermal analytical studies (TG, DTA, DSC) for the purity control or the characterisation of several materials (drugs, foodstuffs, polymers, etc.) and in the study and characterisation of archaeological finds and cultural heritages, investigated by means of several instrumental techniques of chemical analysis. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Current Analytical Chemistry and Current Pharmaceutical Analysis. He is author of about 506 papers, 243 of which original research paper are in international Journals, and about 460 communications to congress.

Dr. Sevinc Kurbanoglu obtained PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Ankara University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Analytical Chemistry, Nano bioelectronics & Biosensor Group at Institute Catala, Barcelona, Spain. She has been serving as a Research and Teaching Assistant Chemistry, Ankara, Turkey. She has contributed her valuable publications in different journals. Her skills and expertise are in Polymerization Materials, Nanomaterials, Polymers, Enzymes, Sample Preparation, Biomaterials, Nanoscience, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography and Chromatography.

Dr. Rezakazmi served as a professor of the faculty of Chemical and Material Engineering at the Shahrood University of Technology. His research interest is in the general area of the water-energy nexus, CO2 capture, gas separation, desalination, to the service of the broad areas of learning and training.

He has published several research papers in the area of drug analysis. Besides, since Sept 2018, he is serving as department deputy of the GS department.

Dr. Regmi earned his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Louisiana State University in 2014, and then worked as a postdoc for a number of years. He has co-authored 15 peer- reviewed publications, 1 granted patent, and 1 patent application. He received outstanding dissertation award from LSU College of Science for his doctoral work on organic vapors sensing using quartz crystal microbalance coated with ionic liquids and GUMBOS. During his postdoctoral work, he immobilized room temperature ionic liquids inside the channels of microfabricated silicon-based gas chromatography columns for high-efficient separation of organic compounds. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Florida A&M University. He is serving as a reviewer in several international journals. His research interests include development of chemical sensors using low-melting organic salts.

Dr. H. O. Wang is a Chair Associate Professor at the Institute of Materials Physics. He received his BS (Physics) from Jiangsu Normal University in 2007, his PhD (Materials Science and Engineering) in 2013 from Nanjing University of Science and Technology. He joined the department of materials science and Engineering at the Hangzhou Dianzi University in 2014 . Dr. Wang’s research activities encompass information materials, magneto-electric materials, magnetic materials, nano-mechanics, and nano-materials. He serves as a member of the editorial board for three journals and was invited keynote speakers of major conferences. He has published over 40 articles in various international journals including New Journal of Chemistry, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, EPL-Europhysics Letters, Journal of Applied Physics, etc.
