Dr. Sushil Kumar Kansal is an academician and researcher of international recognition at the Dr. S. S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engg. & Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. His research areas are environmental science and engineering, biomaterials, advanced oxidation processes, nanotechnology, air pollution, mass transfer, water pollution and material science. He has published more than 62 research papers in international and national journals of repute. One of the research publication which was published in 2007 has more than 530 citations. Dr. Claude Estournès, CNRS Research Director (http://www.researchgate.net/profile/Claude_Estournes) is leader of the team “Nanocomposites et Nanotubes de Carbone (NNC) at CIRIMAT in Toulouse. Its main activities are devoted to the synthesis, preparation and densification of materials (with nano and micro scales, composite, multilayered system, alloys, ceramic, polymer, glass etc…) by "Spark Plasma sintering" technology and to the development of novel, specific and multi-functional architectures (FGM, micro- and meso-porous composite structure, sandwiches) to tailor specific properties.

Muhammad Jamal Deen

MJ Deen is Distinguished University Professor, Senior Canada Research Chair and Director of the Micro- and Nano-Systems Laboratory, McMaster University. He is regarded as a world-leader in nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, nanotechnology and their emerging applications to health and environmental sciences. His research record includes more than 530 peer-reviewed articles, two textboooks on Silicon Photonics and Fiber Optic Communications, and sixteen best paper/poster/presentation awards. Over his career, he has won more than fifty awards and honors and is elected to Fellow status in ten national academies and professional societies including The Royal Society of Canada, IEEE, APS and ECS.

Wolfgang Fritzsche

After finishing his diploma in chemistry at the Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena (Germany), Dr. Fritzsche did his PhD thesis work in the Max-Planck-Institute fpr Biophysical Chemistry in Goettingen (Germany), and obtained his PhD at the university there.

He is department head „Nanobiophotoniocs“ at the Leibniz Institute fo Photonic Technology (IPHT) in Jena. He has published more than 130 peer-reviewed publications,several invited book chapters, co-author of two monographs and editor of about 10 books.

PhD and DSc (Habilitation) got at Nicholaus Copernicus University in the area of Chemistry and Materials Science. Current employment at the Faculty of Chemistry NCU as Associate Professor. Head of Chair of Materials Chemistry Adsorption and Catalysis. Director of Center of Modern Interdisciplinary Technology of NCU. Current research interests: N-rich activated carbons, Graphene exfoliation and 3-D structurization, Biomass thermal degradation. Author and co-author of more than 100 papers and patents. Participation at more than 200 conferences. Current research topic: 3D nano-scale structuration of graphene flakes by physical and chemical methods, carbon molecular sieves, separation of C3-C4 gas mixtures, N-rich nano-porous carbon matrixes, thermal direct conversion of polymers to multi-walled carbon nano tubes.
