(USA); He is Academician of EAS, RAASN and REA; President of Israel Association of Inventors; Chairman of the UNESCO chair "Green Chemistry"; Prof. Figovsky Laureate of the Golden Angel Prize, NASA Nanotech Briefs®’ Nano 50™ Award and the 2015 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (USA). He has published more than 550 scientific publications, Including 16 books, and is a named inventor of 520 issued U.S and other countries patents. Prof. Figovsky is Editor-in-Chief of Journals: SITA (Israel) and Innovation on Corrosion and Materials Sciences, published by Bentham Science Publishers.

Dr. Zheng Weitao obtained a doctorate (Ph.D.) in the field of condensed matter physics from the Jilin University. Currently Dr. Zheng is the vice President of Jilin University, a full professor and doctoral supervisor, winner of National Outstanding Youth Fund, he was appointed Cheung Kong Distinguished Professor of Chinese Ministry of Education, and recommended by the Ministry of Education to the central government as a senior expert. Dr. Zheng also works as a member of International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD), Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Crystallography, board member of the Chinese Materials Research Society. He has published more than 400 scientific publications and these published papers has been cited more than 4000 times. Michael I. Ojovan has been Nuclear Engineer at International Atomic Energy Agency and visiting Professor at Imperial College London. He has been known for the connectivity-percolation theory of glass transition, two-exponential viscosity equation, condensed Rydberg matter, metal matrix and glass-composite materials for nuclear waste immobilisation. He has published 12 monographs including “An Introduction to Nuclear Waste Immobilisation”. Michael is Scientific Secretary of the International Predisposal Network launched by IAEA in 2016, Editorial Board Member of “International Journal of Corrosion”, “Science and Technology of Nuclear Installations”, “Journal of Nuclear Materials”, and Associate Editor of journal “Innovations in Corrosion and Materials Science”.

S. Caporali

Dr. Stefano Caporali is presently an adjunct Professor of Material Science at the University of Florence. He graduated in Chemistry (1998), Geology (2010) and received his Ph. D. in Material Science (2006) from the University of Florence (Italy). His research interests cover a wide range of applied and theoretical aspects of electrochemistry and material chemistry, with an emphasis on the electrodeposition of anticorrosion and functional coatings from both aqueous and non-aqueous (ionic liquids) solutions. He pioneered the surface investigation of ionic liquids and their corrosion properties when in contact with steel, brass and light alloys. He was involved in the design and modeling of sustainable and eco-friendly industrial process (nickel and lead free coatings, lead-free noble metal analysis, nanoparticles functionalized ceramics, CTZS photovoltaic materials etc). He was also involved in the study of resource depletion and management , in particular regarding precious metal supply. He is author or coauthor of more than 80 publications in international peer reviewed scientific journals.

B. VALDEZ was the director of the Institute of Engineering during 2006-2013,. He has a B. Sc. in chemical engineering, a M. Sc. and PhD in chemistry, and is a member of the Mexican Academy of Science and the National System of Researchers in Mexico. He was the guest editor of Corrosion Reviews, in which he produced two special issues on corrosion control in geothermal plants and the electronic industry. He is a full professor at the University of Baja California. His activities include corrosion research, consultancy, and control in industrial plants and environments. During the IMRS Congress, in August 2013, Mexico, he received a “Distinguished Service Award” from NACE International and the NACE Central.

Dr. Mario Aparicio (Ph.D.-Chemistry) is a Researcher in the Ceramic and Glass Institute (Spanish National Research Council, CSIC). He got his Ph.D. in Chemistry at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1998). Dr. Aparicio research interests focus on implementation of sol-gel process for the synthesis of inorganic materials (glassy and crystalline) and organic-inorganic hybrid materials as coatings and membranes for various applications. Goals in the medium-term are devoted to Energy and Environmental fields; particularly in Direct Alcohol Fuel Cells, Proton-conducting Ceramic Electrolyzer, and sol-gel active coatings for improved corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys and mild steels. He has published more than 60 scientific publications (h-index: 23), one patent, six book chapters and one book edition.

Professor Anupam who is currently working as Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Associate Dean (Academic Affairs) of Middle East College (a University College in association with Coventry University, UK), joined this institution in 2012 as Assistant Dean to be designated as Associate Dean in December 2012 on which position he worked till September 2016. Fantao Kong serves as a Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology, China. He received his B. Eng. and M. A. Jagminas received MS degree from Vilnius University in 1974 and Ph.D. (Physical Chemistry) degree in 1979. Recently he is a head of Nanostructures Laboratory at the Centre for Physical Sciences and Technology in Vilnius. His research interests focus on the anodizing of metals, fabrication of nanostructured arrays of semiconducting materials, synthesis of clusters and nanoparticles for nanomedicine and antimicrobial applications. Presently he is Serving as Professor of Chemistry and Research Director at St Antony’s College of Arts and Sciences for Women, Dindigul. He feels that his students are his strength and wealth. M. SCHORR is a professor (Dr. Honoris Causa) at the Institute of Engineering, Universidad Autonoma de Baja California. He has a B.Sc. in chemistry and, a M. Sc. in materials engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, with 50 years of experience in industrial corrosion control. From 1986 to 2004, he was editor of Corrosion Reviews. He has published 360 scientific and technical articles on materials and corrosion in English, Spanish, and Hebrew. He has worked as a corrosion consultant and professor in Israel, the United States, Latin America, Spain, South Africa and Europe. During the IMRS Congress in August 2010, Mexico, he received a “Distinguished Service Award” from NACE International and the NACE Central Mexico Section. He is a member of the National System of Researchers in Mexico. He has been a NACE International member for 23 years.
