Abstract

The industrial production of recombinant proteins requires, preferentially, the generation of stable cell lines expressing proteins in a quickly and reproducibly manner as well as with relative ease. Different methods are used to insert an exogenous DNA into the host cell and the choice of the producing cell is of paramount importance for the efficient production and quality of the recombinant protein. This review addresses the advances in recombinant proteins production in mammalian cell lines, according to the key patents in the last 20 years
