shared a Nobel Prize on Monday with
Dr. John Gurdon for the discovery
that that mature cells can be reprogrammed
to become pluripotent.
"The
discoveries of Gurdon and Yamanaka
have shown that specialised cells
can turn back the developmental
clock under certain circumstances",
the Nobel Prize Assembly said in
a press release.
