Bentham Science Journals improve Impact Factor Rankings

Bussum, Netherlands, July 2, 2012: According to the recently released Journal Citation Reports® 2011, sixteen Bentham Science Journals have improved their impact factor ratings. The journal Current Proteomics has registered its first ever impact factor at 3.179. These positive results reflect the quality of research published by Bentham Science.

Current Drug Metabolism has increased its impact factor to now 5.113. Other important journals which have increased their impact factors are:

• Current Medicinal Chemistry (IF: 4.859)
• Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry (IF: 4.174)
• CNS & Neurological Disorders - Drug Targets (IF: 3.81 )
• Current Drug Targets (IF: 3.553)
• Current Proteomics (IF: 3.179)
• Current Organic Chemistry (IF: 3.064)

Journal Citation Reports (JCR) are annually published by the Institute of Scientific Information, a division of Thomson Reuters. Its purpose is to offers a systematic, mean to critically evaluate the world's leading journals, with quantifiable, statistical information based on citation data. By compiling articles' cited references, JCR Web helps to measure research influence and impact at the journal and category levels, and shows the relationship between citing and cited journals. Current Medicinal Chemistry and Current Pharmaceutical Design are the most cited journals of Bentham Science with 11387 and 10281 citations respectively.
